In Texas, The Caribbean, and Latin America, lack of access to school supplies and technology, overcrowded classrooms, and poor-quality facilities are the main reasons low-income students drop out of school.

The Courage to Bee Programs

Bee-Hive: Careers and Technology: These are monthly group mentoring meetings with professionals within the technology sector who can serve as positive role models and advocates to influence students' personal and professional growth.

Bee-Connected: Technology for Teachers: Supply teachers who serve low-income students at a TCTB-sponsored school with educational digital subscriptions sponsorship, enabling them to create a more engaging, child-centered learning environment.

Technology for Bees

Technology for Bees Increases students' access to technology. The program support underserved youths with awareness about affordable connectivity and or technology device. In addition to student support, we provide educators teaching with sponsorships for digital resources, enabling them to create a more engaging, child-centered learning environment.

Back-to-School Community Drive: The Back-to-School Fest provides low-income students and families with free school supplies and life essentials. Students and families also receive information regarding the affordable connectivity program.

TCTB Skillbuilding Workshops: Eight-week curriculum-based course. The course consists of 60-minute weekly sessions covering eight basic computer skills. Classes are in-person and take place at a TCTB Sponsored school. Students who participate in the program can earn badges to win a technology device upon completion of the course.

Supplies are vital in helping our Bees imagine, write, and achieve their dreams. Mochilas for Bees provides economically disadvantaged K-12 students with free basic school supplies and life essentials to support their education for a school year. Every child served through the program receives a backpack complete with essential school supplies

Workshops for Bees

Workshops for bees are designed to support academic success and equip students with skills needed to succeed in college, career, and life. The workshops are an eight-week curriculum based on one of the four focus areas listed below. Each series supports 50 students and every participating student receives a backpack complete with essential school supplies.

Computer Technology: Basic computer skills covering the following topics: Introduction to technology, keyboard and mouse, safe and productive internet use, digital citizenship, email etiquette, page navigation, and computer programs.

Financial Literacy: A financial literacy course with a focus on entrepreneurship. The course covers the following topics: introduction to basic finance skills, what is entrepreneurship, develop a business plan, and work with a mentor to develop a persuasive pitch.

Social and Emotional Learning: These are social and emotional lessons to help students enhance their emotional intelligence and attain critical social and emotional milestones necessary for adulthood. making.

College & Career: Exposes students to postsecondary education options and experiences.
